Blue Ridge Parkway Map

Land slides and other damage from Hurricanes in September have closed sections of the Blue Ridge Parkway. The two closures featured on this map are from Milepost 317-325 and from Milepost 344-355. The time line for repairs is not known. Be aware that traffic on the Parkway will increase during "leaf" season (October).

I-40 Map

Travel through the Pigeon River Gorge on I-40 has been reduced to one lane in each direction due to flood damage. This map shows an alternate route around the Gorge. This is not an "official" route, only an option. I-40 is open and accessible to all vehicles. Simply Maps only wishes to provide this information to travelers to help them decide the best way to enjoy their journeys.
